It helps enormously to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you
were doing when it happened.
How do I win? When does it end?
It doesn't. Pixel Miner is a continuous game — no runs, no timers, no fail state, no ending. The field is endless in every direction. Play for two minutes or two hours and stop whenever; everything you have mined and earned is already saved.
Why can't I drop another orb?
There is a limit on how many can be live at once — you start at six. Wait for one to run out of charge, or buy Orb Racks in the Orb Lab to raise the limit. That is the main thing upgrades buy: a bigger swarm.
My orbs bounce around instead of digging.
That is the game — they are ricochets, not drills. Use the Focus Field to pull them toward the rock you actually want broken.
Nothing happens when I tap.
You are probably tapping solid rock. Orbs can only be dropped into space that is already open — the pocket you start in, a natural cavity, or anywhere your swarm has already mined out.
How does the game get harder?
The further you get from where you started, the tougher the rock and the better it pays. The three terrain types cycle outward forever, hardening as they go.
Can I play with sound off, motion reduced, or higher contrast?
Yes. Settings has sound, music, haptics, Reduce Motion, High Contrast, a Sticky Field mode, a Focus strength slider, and a slower simulation speed.
Where is my save?
On your device only, in the app's private storage. It is never uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app deletes it.
Does the game use the internet?
No. It is fully offline and makes no network requests.
Every important state is conveyed by shape and pattern as well as colour — materials are distinguishable in greyscale. Reduce Motion removes screen shake, parallax and pulsing. Sticky Field removes the need to hold a finger down at all. Touch targets are at least 48 pt. If something is hard to read or hard to reach on your device, please email — that is a bug worth fixing.
